Got spooked a few times! Great art style too! It really felt like a Junji Ito manga :D Thank you for the game! Here's my little playthrough (Polish langauge) Cheers!
I really enjoyed the art style you made for this game. It stands out a bit from the other horror games. I don't know if it was intended or not, but there is no sound. It would be nice to have some background noise or music to increase the creepy factor of the game. On the other hand it did make the house a bit creepier being eerily silent. I thought the monster was really cool. I hope to see more from you! Maybe a larger game with this kind of art style and a story. Great job and keep it up! Its the first game in the video.
just finished playing the game and I can say it was pretty decent for the time playing the atmosphere and premise of the game was very creepy the ending was not what I was expecting but I have a playthrough and live reaction of it .
I enjoyed this, I have played very few games with this style of graphics, I loved the red and black background and just how erie it felt the whole time. I wish there was a little more sound to it and perhaps more scares but it was an amazing game overall.
Good game, and nice style! I didn't know who Junji was until finding this game lol. But it looks really good, and was fun playing! I feel like the door scare effected me a lil too much😂 Nice job dev!
I loved this game! The gameplay and design were awesome. I haven't enjoyed a game this much in a while. I look forward to more from you in the future. This was a nice mix of creepy and cool. I will link my gameplay below if you are interested in seeing my reaction.
Hello! First off this scared the fuck outta me the no music set the atmosphere very well! A lot of horror games suffer if there's no music to set the atmosphere but it matches very well with the style! The sounds and moments made me very uncomfortable and i loved every second of it! It was very creepy afterwards too because i had a moment with spirits after i finished playing >.>.
Hello!! I wanted to leave a bit of a review, since I played the game and thought it was pretty amazing. Hope this is of any help to anyone considering if they want to play this game! SO, first and foremost, this game IS a short indie horror game, but that's to be expected since this was a game made for a game jam. HOWEVER, what this game lacks in length (I still had about 10-15 minutes of play time), it makes up for in stylistic choice. This is the first game I've seen to take on this style of anime/mangaka and BOY IS IT AMAZING. From the minimalisms in context to the setting outside the window, the art style is done really well in this game. There's been a trend recently to either make horror games that center around a) 3D or b) retro aspects (or c: all of the above). I'm glad this game is able to separate itself stylistically from other competitors. Personally, I found even the absence of music to add to its personal flair of being a mangaka; when reading one, you only hear sound effects anyways, never music.
Let's talk about the scares. I've said it before, this game is short, so there aren't a TON of scares in this game, but it really did have its moments of intrigue for me. The ending really left me on a cliffhanger and made me want to know more about what happens at the end/what the monster is.
I think the ONLY gripe I have about the game thus far is the audio. Not that there's no music, because I've mentioned how I appreciate that, but whenever sound effects DO pop up, I found them to be inconsistent sometimes. At times, they're way too loud and so I adjust my volume and then all of a sudden, they're now too quiet. Other than that, this game is pretty much a really good representation of an indie horror game done right. I wanted to wait to shamelessly plug my video till the very end since everyone is sharing their gameplays on it, but if you wanna check out my playthrough (and you can check whether you agree with my review!), here's my video! As I'm posting this a little after Christmas and right before New Years, HOPE EVERYONE IS HAVING A GOOD HOLIDAY!
Omg thank you so so much for your kind words! I dont even know how to properly respond to this comment, all i can say is thank you! This was the first project where I made every soundeffect by myself and I will pay more attention to the soundeffects for my next project, so thank you for pointing that out!!!
This was Freaking Awesome XD Deff one of my funniest videos yet, I highly suggest a full watch through! I guarantee you laugh at least once OR YOUR MONEY BACK!! XD
This is the first Junji Ito style game I've played and I hope it helps bring fourth more games from yourself and other developers who want to use this style.
This was amazing. Such a great style for a horror game, and it GENUINELY creeped me out. And that ending... what a mind melter! I loved playing this, great work!
Really loved your introduction in your video and your energetic editing style. thank you for your kind words and im glad you enjoyed my game! Keep up the good work!!
I love home invasion games, but for such a brief experience that Veinless Property is, it’s got impact that I haven’t felt in some time. I immediately felt like I wasn’t alone as soon as the game started. Particularly effective is the audio. Environmental sounds are all the more impactful when enveloped by utter silence. I spent the whole game drowned in anxiety. I felt like someone was in the room, no matter where I was. Each event raised my anxiety a level. I do think there’s room for one BIG scare at the end, but this is so well-crafted, I can’t wait to see more from you! Loved it!
Hey, so let me start off by saying that I'm a fan of this developer's previous work, Gregore, even though the two projects have pretty much nothing in common, I just wanted to mention that.
First off, the art style. I really like it, I think it's good, but it could've been explored more. We only saw little glimpses of the outside world through the windows but I can't help but feel that the game could have benefitted greatly if the intro was us walking to our home instead of just spawning in a hallway because from what I've seen, the red-white-black aesthetic definitely looks good when looking outside.
For gameplay mechanics, I suppose there isn't much to say since this is more like a walking simulator, and it plays well for what it is.
The sound design. My, my. The fact that the game is SO SILENT with the exception of a few occasions is such a great idea and I was scared shitless playing the game. I had to alt+tab and take a breather every minute or so.
------SPOILERS FROM NOW ON------
The monster's design is absolutely amazing. Especially at the end when we can get a better look up close and that weird tall body of theirs is in a school girl uniform. It was absolutely horrifying. It also didn't help that the ending is oddly familiar to a nightmare that I've occasionally been having for more than a decade.
All in all, I can see that this is more like a small project that relies more on visuals and sound design rather than gameplay, and I really really like what you guys did. Well done!
Hey Thank you so much, I absolutly love your review!!! I actually wanted to make the player walk home in the beginning but for that i would have needed a lot more time to make the assets and I only had 3 weeks becouse it was in a game competition between friends. Thank you so so much for enjoying my game, hope you will like my next one too!!!
I somehow managed to miss that this was a game jam game. That wipes most of my criticisms away. Well done sir, you're releasing one amazing game after the other!
So... uh... The tall creepy girl stalks you in the middle of the night, broke into your house and wants to stay with you... did the main character did something wrong? lol She doesn't seems to be human...

The art style gives me Junji Ito's vibes and I like that a lot. the shaders too is really unique. Great job.
Thank you!
Really well done and it shows Junji Ito's style in it really well too, especially the end of the game. Great job 🤘
Thank you so much!!
Ngl, the shader looks sick. Hope to see more games like these.
You have perfectly captured the feeling of turning off all the lights when nobody is home. Great game and very good job with the hatching shader.
Hello, I played this game and I really enjoyed it, I loved the art style and the sound effects were also great, good work :)
Happy new years yall!
Thank you so much!!! Really glad you still liked my game so much despite the shortcomings!
Great artstyle and very well executed, would love to see more games like this.
Thank you so much Josuke!! Glad you liked it
Really cool game. The art style was unique not many games use this kind of style.
Watch video here:
Cool concept and great art as well! Inspired by this game! Im curious to know what engine you used to make the game?
Hey thats great to hear! I used the unity engine, the 2017.4.13 version to be exact.
Good game, and nice style! I didn't know who Junji was until finding this game lol. But it looks really good, and was fun playing! I feel like the door scare effected me a lil too much😂 Nice job dev!

The lack of music paired with the artstyle really makes this game. I just wished it was a bit longer. Besides that, really good game.
Here's my channel for other games I have played. http://www.youtube.com/c/Levont
Hey thank you so much!
